Career Development
What exactly is career development?
When it comes to looking for a job after graduation, Tennessee Tech’s engineering and computer science majors have a major advantage: Tech is home to one of the largest STEM-focused career fairs in the southeastern United States with more than 150 companies attending every year.
But career development is more than getting connected with your future employer. “Career readiness” means preparing for your career and laying the groundwork for a lifelong process, beginning in your freshman year. When it comes to gaining knowledge and acquiring skills through the pursuit of the right degree; obtaining hands-on experience through co-ops or internships; developing professional skills; and creating a network with faculty, peers, organizations, alumni and industry, the College of Engineering’s vast network of industry partners and alumni and Tech’s Office of Career Development are with you every step of the way.
